حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ سَمِعَ أَبَا نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا عِدْلَ لَهُ أَوْ قَالَ لَا مِثْلَ لَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Sulayman ibn Dawud told us, Shu'bah told us, from Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Ya'qub, who heard Abu Nasr, from Abu Umamah, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed that will admit me to Paradise." He said: "You must fast, for there is nothing equal to it," or he said, "nothing like it."
