حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو غَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْبَلَ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ وَمَعَهُ غُلَامَانِ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْدِمْنَا فَقَالَ خُذْ أَيَّهُمَا شِئْتَ فَقَالَ خِرْ لِي قَالَ خُذْ هَذَا وَلَا تَضْرِبْهُ فَإِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي مَقْبَلَنَا مِنْ خَيْبَرَ وَإِنِّي قَدْ نَهَيْتُ عَنْ ضَرْبِ أَهْلِ الصَّلَاةِ وَأَعْطَى أَبَا ذَرٍّ الْغُلَامَ الْآخَرَ فَقَالَ اسْتَوْصِ بِهِ خَيْرًا ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا فَعَلَ الْغُلَامُ الَّذِي أَعْطَيْتُكَ قَالَ أَمَرْتَنِي أَنْ أَسْتَوْصِيَ بِهِ خَيْرًا فَأَعْتَقْتُهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, Abu Ghalib informed us, from Abu Umamah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came from Khaybar with two young slaves with him, so Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "O Messenger of Allah, give us one to serve us." He said: "Take whichever of the two you wish." He said: "Choose for me." He said: "Take this one, and do not beat him, for I have seen him praying as we came from Khaybar, and I have forbidden the beating of those who pray." And he gave Abu Dharr the other slave, and said: "Treat him well." Then he said: "O Abu Dharr, what became of the slave I gave you?" He said: "You commanded me to treat him well, so I freed him."
