حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ مَمْطُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا الْإِيمَانُ قَالَ إِذَا سَرَّتْكَ حَسَنَتُكَ وَسَاءَتْكَ سَيِّئَتُكَ فَأَنْتَ مُؤْمِنٌ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَمَا الْإِثْمُ قَالَ إِذَا حَاكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ شَيْءٌ فَدَعْهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Rawh told us: Hisham ibn Abi Abdullah told us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Zayd ibn Sallam, from his grandfather Mamtur, from Abu Umamah, that a man asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: What is faith? He said: When your good deed pleases you and your bad deed grieves you, then you are a believer. He said: O Messenger of Allah, then what is sin? He said: When something wavers in your soul, leave it.
