Abdullah told us, my father told me, Zayd ibn Yahya al-Dimashqi told us, Ibn Thawban told us, from his father, from Makhul, from Kathir ibn Murrah, from Malik ibn Yakhamir al-Saksaki, who said: I heard Mu'adh say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever is wounded with a wound in the cause of Allah will come on the Day of Resurrection with his color the color of saffron and his scent the scent of musk, bearing upon him the seal of the martyrs. And whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will grant him the reward of a martyr even if he dies upon his bed. And whoever fights in the cause of Allah for the time it takes to milk a she-camel, Paradise becomes obligatory for him."
