حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ قَالُوا لَهُ أَلَا تَدْخُلُ عَلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَتُكَلِّمُهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَرَوْنَ أَنِّي لَا أُكَلِّمُهُ إِلَّا أُسْمِعُكُمْ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ كَلَّمْتُهُ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ مَا دُونَ أَنْ أَفْتَحَ أَمْرًا لَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَنَا أَوَّلَ مَنْ فَتَحَهُ وَلَا أَقُولُ لِرَجُلٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَلَيَّ أَمِيرًا إِنَّهُ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ فَتَنْدَلِقُ أَقْتَابُ بَطْنِهِ فَيَدُورُ بِهَا فِي النَّارِ كَمَا يَدُورُ الْحِمَارُ بِالرَّحَا قَالَ فَيَجْتَمِعُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ إِلَيْهِ فَيَقُولُونَ يَا فُلَانُ أَمَا كُنْتَ تَأْمُرُنَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَانَا عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ بَلَى قَدْ كُنْتُ آمُرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَا آتِيهِ وَأَنْهَى عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ وَآتِيهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Mu'awiyah told us, al-A'mash told us, from Shaqiq, from Usamah ibn Zayd, who said: It was said to him: Why do you not go in to this man and speak to him? He said: Do you not see that I would not speak to him except within your hearing? By Allah, I have spoken to him privately, between him and me, without opening a matter I would not want to be the first to open, and I will not tell a man, so that he should be my ruler, that he is the best of people, after I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and cast into the Fire, and the intestines of his belly will spill out and he will circle around them in the Fire like a donkey circling the millstone. He said: The people of the Fire will gather to him and say: O so-and-so, did you not used to enjoin good and forbid evil? He said: He will say: Yes indeed, I used to enjoin good but not do it myself, and forbid evil but do it myself.
