حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مَوْلَى قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ عَنْ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ انْطَلَقَ مَعَ أُسَامَةَ إِلَى وَادِي الْقُرَى يَطْلُبُ مَالًا لَهُ وَكَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَوْلَاهُ لِمَ تَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ وَأَنْتَ شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ قَدْ رَقَقْتَ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ فَسُئِلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَعْمَالَ النَّاسِ تُعْرَضُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us, Aban told us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir told us, Amr ibn al-Hakam told me, from the freedman of Qudamah ibn Maz'un, from the freedman of Usamah ibn Zayd, that he went with Usamah to Wadi al-Qura seeking some property of his. He used to fast on Monday and Thursday, so his freedman said to him: Why do you fast on Monday and Thursday when you are an old man grown frail? He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to fast on Monday and Thursday, and when asked about that he said: The deeds of the people are presented on Monday and Thursday.
