حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شَعَائِرِ الْحَجِّ.

Waki' told us: Sufyan told us, from Abdullah ibn Abi Labid, from al-Muttalib ibn Abdullah ibn Hantab, from Khallad ibn al-Sa'ib, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Gabriel, peace be upon him, came to me and said: "O Muhammad, command your companions to raise their voices with the talbiyah, for it is among the rites of Hajj."'
