حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ يُحَدِّثُ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ قَالَ لِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ مَا لَكَ تَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ لَقَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ طُولَى الطُّولَيَيْنِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعُرْوَةَ مَا طُولَى الطُّولَيَيْنِ قَالَ الْأَعْرَافُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr told us, they said: Ibn Jurayj told us, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn Abi Mulaykah narrating, saying: Urwah ibn al-Zubayr told me that Marwan told him, he said: Zayd ibn Thabit said to me: 'What is the matter with you reciting in Maghrib the short surahs of al-Mufassal? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite in the Maghrib prayer the longer of the two long surahs.' He said: I said to Urwah, 'What is the longer of the two long surahs?' He said: 'Al-A'raf.'
