حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي تَارِكٌ فِيكُمْ خَلِيفَتَيْنِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ حَبْلٌ مَمْدُودٌ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَوْ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ وَعِتْرَتِي أَهْلُ بَيْتِي وَإِنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
al-Aswad ibn Amir told us: Sharik told us, from al-Rukayn, from al-Qasim ibn Hassan, from Zayd ibn Thabit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I am leaving behind among you two successors: the Book of Allah, a rope extended between heaven and earth — or between heaven and earth — and my kindred, the people of my household; and the two will never separate until they come to me at the Pond."
