حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ مِنْ الشَّامِ فَقَالَ أَمَرَنِي خَلِيلِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثٍ اسْمَعْ وَأَطِعْ وَلَوْ عَبْدًا مُجَدَّعَ الْأَطْرَافِ وَإِذَا صَنَعْتَ مَرَقَةً فَأَكْثِرْ مَاءَهَا ثُمَّ انْظُرْ أَهْلَ بَيْتٍ مِنْ جِيرَتِكَ فَأَصِبْهُمْ مِنْهَا بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَصَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ وَجَدْتَ الْإِمَامَ قَدْ صَلَّى فَقَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلَاتَكَ وَإِلَّا فَهِيَ نَافِلَةٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Shu'bah, Abu 'Imran al-Jawni told us, from Abd Allah ibn al-Samit, who said: When Abu Dharr came to Uthman from Syria, he said: "My close friend (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded me with three things: to listen and obey, even if it be a slave whose limbs are mutilated; that when you make broth, increase its water, then look at a household among your neighbors and give them some of it with kindness; and to pray the prayer at its proper time — for if you find that the imam has already prayed, then you have secured your prayer; otherwise it will be a supererogatory prayer."
