حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْعَتَكِيُّ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَذْكُرُ عَنْ رَقَبَةَ ح و حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَقَبَةَ ح و حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ و حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَقَبَةَ وَقَالُوا جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْغُلَامُ الَّذِي قَتَلَهُ الْخَضِرُ طُبِعَ كَافِرًا زَادَ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَلَوْ أَدْرَكَ لَأَرْهَقَ أَبَوَيْهِ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا.

Abu al-Rabi al-Ataki Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Zahrani told us, Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman told us, he said: I heard my father mention, from Raqaba — and also: Abdullah told us, he said: and Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami told me, Mu'tamir told us, from his father, from Raqaba — and also: Abdullah told us, he said: and Suwayd ibn Sa'id told me — and also: Abdullah told us, he said: and Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Khalid al-Wasiti told me — they all said: Mu'tamir told us, from his father, from Raqaba — and they all said, from Abu Ishaq, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: The boy whom al-Khidr killed was created a disbeliever. Abu al-Rabi added in his narration: and had he lived to reach maturity, he would have burdened his parents with tyranny and disbelief.
