حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ مَنْ أَرْضَى عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّ أُبَيًّا حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَهَا رُخْصَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِقِلَّةِ ثِيَابِهِمْ ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهَا بَعْدُ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُمْ الْمَاءُ مِنْ الْمَاءِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Ghaylan told us, Rishdin told us, 'Amr ibn al-Harith told me, from Ibn Shihab: someone whom I trust told me, from Sahl ibn Sa'd, that Ubayy told him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, made it a concession for the believers because of the scarcity of their clothing, but then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, later forbade it -- meaning their saying "water follows only from water."
