قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ أَنَّ أُبَيَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ.

He said: 'Affan told us, Hammad told us, Humayd informed us, from Anas, from 'Ubadah, that Ubayy ibn Ka'b said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Qur'an was revealed in seven modes of recitation."
