حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ قَالَ خَبَّابُ بْنُ الْأَرَتِّ كُنْتُ قَيْنًا بِمَكَّةَ فَكُنْتُ أَعْمَلُ لِلْعَاصِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ فَاجْتَمَعَتْ لِي عَلَيْهِ دَرَاهِمُ فَجِئْتُ أَتَقَاضَاهُ فَقَالَ لَا أَقْضِيكَ حَتَّى تَكْفُرَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ لَا أَكْفُرُ بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى تَمُوتَ ثُمَّ تُبْعَثَ قَالَ فَإِذَا بُعِثْتُ كَانَ لِي مَالٌ وَوَلَدٌ قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى { أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا حَتَّى بَلَغَ فَرْدًا }.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd al-Razzaq told us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, who said: Khabbab ibn al-Aratt said: I was a blacksmith in Mecca, and I used to work for al-'As ibn Wa'il. He owed me some dirhams, so I came to demand payment from him. He said: "I will not pay you until you disbelieve in Muhammad." I said: "By Allah, I will not disbelieve in Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, until you die and are then resurrected." He said: "When I am resurrected, will I have wealth and children then?" He said: So I mentioned that to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and Allah, blessed and exalted is He, revealed: "Have you seen the one who disbelieved in Our signs and said, 'I will surely be given wealth and children'" until it reaches "alone."
