حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ إِذَا دَحَضَتْ الشَّمْسُ.

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us, Shu'bah told us, from Simak, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray the noon prayer when the sun had passed its zenith.
