حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْعَوَّامِ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ فِي سَاقَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُمُوشَةٌ وَكَانَ لَا يَضْحَكُ إِلَّا تَبَسُّمًا وَكَانَ إِذَا نَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ قُلْتُ أَكْحَلُ وَلَيْسَ بِأَكْحَلَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Surayj ibn al-Nu'man told us, Abbad -- that is, Ibn al-'Awwam -- told us, from Hajjaj, from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: There was a slenderness in the shins of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he never laughed except with a smile, and when I looked at him I would say he had kohl-lined eyes, though he did not use kohl.
