حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ مَاتَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَاتَ فُلَانٌ قَالَ لَمْ يَمُتْ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ الثَّانِيَةَ ثُمَّ الثَّالِثَةَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ مَاتَ قَالَ نَحَرَ نَفْسَهُ بِمِشْقَصٍ قَالَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Jabir ibn Samurah said: A man died during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). A man came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has died.' He said: 'He has not died.' Then he came a second time, then a third time and informed him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'How did he die?' He said: 'He stabbed himself with an arrowhead.' So he did not pray over him.
