حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَحُسَيْنٌ قَالَا ثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ مِرْثَدَ بْنَ ظَبْيَانَ قَالَ جَاءَنَا كِتَابٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَا وَجَدْنَا لَهُ كَاتِبًا يَقْرَؤُهُ عَلَيْنَا حَتَّى قَرَأَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي ضُبَيْعَةَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ أَسْلِمُوا تَسْلَمُوا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Marthad ibn Zabyan said: A letter came to us from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), but we could not find anyone to read it to us until a man from Banu Dubay'ah read it: 'From the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to Bakr ibn Wa'il: Accept Islam and you will be safe.'
