حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الْأَغَرِّ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ جَدَّهُ أَسْلَمَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ.

Waki' told us, Sufyan told us, from al-Aghar al-Minqari, from Khalifa ibn Husayn ibn Qays ibn 'Asim, from his father: that his grandfather accepted Islam in the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he ordered him to wash with water and lote-tree leaves.
