حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنَ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ بِالْكُوفَةِ أَمِيرٌ قَالَ فَخَطَبَ يَوْمًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِي إِعْطَاءِ هَذَا الْمَالِ فِتْنَةً وَفِي إِمْسَاكِهِ فِتْنَةً وَبِذَلِكَ قَامَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ حَتَّى فَرَغَ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'ba told us, he said: I heard Ishaq ibn Suwayd say: I heard Mutarrif ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Shikhkhir narrate from a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: There was a governor in Kufa. He said: He gave a sermon one day and said, "In giving out this wealth there is a trial, and in withholding it there is a trial." And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood delivering this in his sermon until he finished, then came down.
