Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Abd al-Malik b. 'Umayr, from 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakra, from his father, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "What do you think — if Juhayna, Aslam, and Ghifar were better than Banu Tamim, Banu 'Abdullah b. Ghatafan, and Banu 'Amir b. Sa'sa'a?" — and he raised his voice with it. They said: "O Messenger of God, they have failed and lost." He said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, they are better."
