Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Musa — who is also called Isra'il — who said: I heard al-Hasan say: I heard Abu Bakra — and Sufyan said once: from Abu Bakra — "I saw the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, upon the pulpit with Hasan, peace be upon him, beside him, and he would turn to the people at times and to him at other times, saying: 'This son of mine is a chief, and perhaps God, Blessed and Exalted, will bring about reconciliation through him between two factions of the Muslims.'"
