حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ حَدَّثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ مَرَّارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرَةَ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أُمَاشِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ آخِذِي بِيَدِي وَرَجُلٌ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِقَبْرَيْنِ أَمَامَنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُمَا لَيُعَذَّبَانِ وَمَا يُعَذَّبَانِ فِي كَبِيرٍ وَبَلَى فَأَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي بِجَرِيدَةٍ فَاسْتَبَقْنَا فَسَبَقْتُهُ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِجَرِيدَةٍ فَكَسَرَهَا نِصْفَيْنِ فَأَلْقَى عَلَى ذَا الْقَبْرِ قِطْعَةً وَعَلَى ذَا الْقَبْرِ قِطْعَةً وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ يُهَوَّنُ عَلَيْهِمَا مَا كَانَتَا رَطْبَتَيْنِ وَمَا يُعَذَّبَانِ إِلَّا فِي الْبَوْلِ وَالْغِيبَةِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Sa'id, the freedman of Banu Hashim, narrated to us: al-Aswad b. Shayban narrated to us: Bahr b. Marrar narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakra, who said: Abu Bakra narrated to us, saying: While I was walking alongside the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, he was holding my hand, and a man was on his left, when we came upon two graves before us. The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The two of them are indeed being punished, and they are not being punished for anything great — yet indeed it is — so which of you will bring me a palm branch?" We raced for it, and I outran him, and brought him a palm branch. He broke it into two halves and cast a piece onto this grave and a piece onto that grave, and said: "It will be lightened for the two of them for as long as the pieces remain moist. They are only being punished for [failing to guard against] urine and for backbiting."
