حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ رِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلْيُكْرِمْ جَارَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلْيَقُلْ حَقًّا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ رِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, who said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Alqamah ibn Abdullah al-Muzani, from men among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and honor his neighbor. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah and honor his guest. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah and speak good or remain silent." Hajjaj told us: Shu'bah told me, who said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Alqamah ibn Abdullah al-Muzani, from men among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he mentioned the same.
