حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الضَّبِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْبَرِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ فِي يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ يَعْنِي مَطَرًا فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنُودِيَ أَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ الْيَوْمَ أَوْ الْجُمُعَةَ الْيَوْمَ فِي الرِّحَالِ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ جَمِيلٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَطَاءً وَابْنَ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ وَعِكْرِمَةَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ يَرْمُونَ الْجَمْرَةَ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبِي يَا أَبَا سُلَيْمَانَ فِي أَيِّ سَنَةٍ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَمِائَةٍ سَنَةَ وَقْعَةِ الْحُسَيْنِ.

Dawud ibn Amr al-Dabbi told us: Ali ibn Hashim - meaning Ibn al-Barid - told us, from Abu Bishr al-Halabi, from Abu al-Malih ibn Usamah, from his father, who said: The people were struck on a Friday - meaning by rain - so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered, and it was announced that the prayer today, or the Friday prayer today, should be in the camps. Dawud ibn Amr told us: Nafi' ibn Umar ibn Jamil al-Jumahi told us, who said: I saw Ata, Ibn Abi Mulaykah, and Ikrimah ibn Khalid throwing the pebbles [at the Jamrah] before dawn on the Day of Sacrifice. My father said to him: "O Abu Sulayman, in what year did you hear from Nafi' ibn Umar?" He said: "The year one hundred sixty-nine, the year of the battle of al-Husayn."
