Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Umar ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Qatada narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Samura, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: "When Eve became pregnant, Iblis went around her, for no child of hers would survive, and he said, 'Name him Abd al-Harith, and he will survive.' So they named him Abd al-Harith, and he survived. And that was from the inspiration and command of Satan."
