Abu Abd al-Rahman Abdullah ibn Yazid told us: al-Mas'udi told us, from Adi ibn Thabit, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa, who said: Umar met Asma bint Umays, may Allah be pleased with both of them, and said, "What a fine people you are, if it were not that you were preceded in emigration, and we are better than you." She said, "You were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who taught your ignorant and carried your walkers, while we fled with our religion." She said, "I will not stop until I go in to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." So she went in and mentioned what Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, had said to her. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Rather, you have the emigration twice: your emigration to Abyssinia and your emigration to Medina."
