حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ قَالَ عَفَّانُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ قَالَ ثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيُّ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ يُقَاتِلُ لِلْمَغْنَمِ وَالرَّجُلُ يُقَاتِلُ لِيُذْكَرَ وَالرَّجُلُ يُقَاتِلُ لِيُرَى مَكَانُهُ فَمَنْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَاتَلَ لِتَكُونَ كَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad b. Ja'far and Affan told us, they said: Shu'ba told us, from Amr b. Murra - Affan said: Amr b. Murra informed me, he said: I heard Abu Wa'il say: Abu Musa al-Ash'ari told us that a Bedouin came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, a man fights for booty, a man fights to be mentioned, and a man fights to be seen in his position - so who is fighting in the way of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever fights so that the word of Allah is uppermost, he is in the way of Allah, Mighty and Majestic."
