وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ مَثَلَ مَا بَعَثَنِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِ مِنْ الْهُدَى وَالْعِلْمِ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَصَابَ الْأَرْضَ فَكَانَتْ مِنْهُ طَائِفَةٌ قَبِلَتْ فَأَنْبَتَتْ الْكَلَأَ وَالْعُشْبَ الْكَثِيرَ وَكَانَتْ مِنْهَا أَجَادِبُ أَمْسَكَتْ الْمَاءَ فَنَفَعَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهَا نَاسًا فَشَرِبُوا فَرَعَوْا وَسَقَوْا وَزَرَعُوا وَأَسْقَوْا وَأَصَابَتْ طَائِفَةً مِنْهَا أُخْرَى إِنَّمَا هِيَ قِيعَانٌ لَا تُمْسِكُ مَاءً وَلَا تُنْبِتُ كَلَأً فَذَلِكَ مَثَلُ مَنْ فَقُهَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَنَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِمَا بَعَثَنِي بِهِ وَنَفَعَ بِهِ فَعَلِمَ وَعَلَّمَ وَمَثَلُ مَنْ لَمْ يَرْفَعْ بِذَلِكَ رَأْسًا وَلَمْ يَقْبَلْ هُدَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الَّذِي أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The likeness of the guidance and knowledge with which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, sent me is like abundant rain that falls on land. Some of it was fertile soil that absorbed the water and produced abundant grass and herbage. And some of it was hard ground that held the water, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, benefited people by it - they drank from it, gave their animals to drink, and irrigated their crops. And another portion of it fell on barren land, which neither holds water nor produces vegetation. That is the likeness of the one who has understanding of Allah's religion, Mighty and Majestic, and whom Allah, Mighty and Majestic, benefits by what I was sent with, and who benefits others by it - so he learns and teaches. And the likeness of one who does not raise his head to that at all, and does not accept the guidance of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, with which I was sent."
