Yahya narrated to us, from Shu’bah: Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah narrated to me, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, who said: Adi ibn Hatim said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I shoot game and follow its trail after a night, and I find my arrow in it." He said, "If you find your arrow in it, and no predator has eaten from it, then eat." I mentioned this to Abu Bishr, and he said: from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, from Adi, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If you find your arrow in it and know that it killed it, then eat."
