حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ يَقُولُ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَصَابَ النَّاسَ شِدَّةٌ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أُبَيٍّ لِأَصْحَابِهِ لَا تُنْفِقُوا عَلَى مَنْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَنْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِهِ وَقَالَ لَئِنْ رَجَعْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ لَيُخْرِجَنَّ الْأَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الْأَذَلَّ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِذَلِكَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ فَسَأَلَهُ فَاجْتَهَدَ يَمِينَهُ مَا فَعَلَ فَقَالُوا كَذَّبَ زَيْدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَوَقَعَ فِي نَفْسِي مِمَّا قَالُوا حَتَّى أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تَصْدِيقِي فِي { إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ } قَالَ وَدَعَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَسْتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ فَلَوَّوْا رُءُوسَهُمْ وَقَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى { كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُسَنَّدَةٌ } قَالَ كَانُوا رِجَالًا أَجْمَلَ شَيْءٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hasan ibn Musa told us: Zuhayr told us: Abu Ishaq told us, that he heard Zayd ibn Arqam say: We set out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on a journey, and hardship befell the people. Abdullah ibn Ubayy said to his companions: Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah, until they disperse from around him — and he said: If we return to Medina, the mightier will surely drive out the meaner from it. So I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and informed him of that. He sent for Abdullah ibn Ubayy and asked him, and he swore emphatically that he had not done it. They said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, has disbelieved Zayd. He said: So what they said settled in my mind, until Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed my vindication in {When the hypocrites come to you}. He said: And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called them to seek forgiveness for them, but they turned their heads away — and His saying, Exalted is He: {as if they were propped-up beams} — he said: They were men of most handsome appearance.
