حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ وَهُوَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ.

Abu Ahmad - that is al-Zubayri - told us: Sharik - that is Ibn Abdullah - told us, from Abu Ishaq, from Amir, from Jarir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Indeed your brother the Negus has died, so seek forgiveness for him."
