حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ وَهُوَ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ رَحْلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَأُتِيَ بِسَكْرَانَ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوهُ بِمَا كَانَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ وَحَثَا عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ التُّرَابَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ الزُّهْرِيُّ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَذَكَرَهُ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ وَثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَهُ قَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الصُّنَابِحِيُّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَجِيلَةَ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ.

Safwan ibn 'Isa told us: Usamah ibn Zayd informed us, from al-Zuhri, who said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Azhar informed us, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of Hunayn making his way through the people, asking about the baggage of Khalid ibn al-Walid. Then a drunk man was brought, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered those who were with him to strike him with whatever was in their hands, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) threw dust over him. Rawh told us: Usamah ibn Zayd told us: al-Zuhri told us: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Azhar al-Zuhri told me, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) making his way through the people, asking about the location of Khalid ibn al-Walid - and he related it. Ya'qub told us, who said: my father told me, from Ibn Ishaq - and 'Abdullah, that is Ibn al-Mubarak, told us: Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid informed us, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, from al-Sunabihi, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say - and he related it.
