حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَرْبِ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْلَمْتُ وَعَلَّمَنِي حَتَّى عَلَّمَنِي الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ لِمَوَاقِيتِهِنَّ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَسَاعَاتٌ أُشْغَلُ فِيهَا فَمُرْنِي بِجَوَامِعَ فَقَالَ لِي إِنْ شُغِلْتَ فَلَا تُشْغَلْ عَنْ الْعَصْرَيْنِ قُلْتُ وَمَا الْعَصْرَانِ قَالَ صَلَاةُ الْغَدَاةِ وَصَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Surayj b. al-Nu'man told us, Hushaym told us, he said: Dawud b. Abi Hind informed us, he said: Abu Harb b. Abi al-Aswad told me from Fadala al-Laythi, who said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and I accepted Islam, and he taught me - he taught me the five prayers at their [proper] times. I said to him: "These are hours in which I am occupied, so instruct me with comprehensive words." He said to me: "If you are occupied, do not let yourself be kept away from the two 'asrs." I said: "What are the two 'asrs?" He said: "The dawn prayer and the 'Asr prayer."
