حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَرْفَجَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ سَتَكُونُ هَنَاتٌ وَهَنَاتٌ فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ أَمْرَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وَهِيَ جَمِيعٌ فَاضْرِبُوهُ بِالسَّيْفِ كَائِنًا مَنْ كَانَ.

Muhammad bin Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from Ziyad bin Ilaqah, who said: I heard Arfajah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "There will be troubles and troubles, so whoever wants to divide the affair of this nation while it is united, strike him with the sword, whoever he may be."
