حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يَقْرَأُ فِي دَارِهِ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ وَإِلَى جَانِبِهِ حِصَانٌ لَهُ مَرْبُوطٌ بِشَطَنَيْنِ حَتَّى غَشِيَتْهُ سَحَابَةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تَدْنُو وَتَدْنُو حَتَّى جَعَلَ فَرَسُهُ يَنْفِرُ مِنْهَا قَالَ الرَّجُلُ فَعَجِبْتُ لِذَلِكَ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ وَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِلْكَ السَّكِينَةُ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآنِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Adam told us, Zuhayr told us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, who said: A man was reciting Surat al-Kahf in his house, and beside him was his horse tied with two ropes, when a cloud came over him and kept drawing nearer and nearer until his horse began to shy away from it. The man said: I was amazed at that, and when morning came he went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and mentioned that to him and related the story. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "That was tranquility descending because of the Qur'an."
