Sufyan told us, from Ibrahim - meaning Ibn Muhammad b. al-Muntashir - from his father, from Habib b. Salim, from his father, from al-Nu'man b. Bashir, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, recited on the two Eids "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" and "Has there come to you the story of the overwhelming event," and if that coincided with a Friday, he recited them both together. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Habib b. Salim heard it from al-Nu'man himself, and he was his scribe; Sufyan makes a mistake in it, saying "Habib b. Salim, from his father," whereas he heard it from al-Nu'man himself.
