حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ دَاوُدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ حَمَلَنِي أَبِي بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اشْهَدْ أَنِّي قَدْ نَحَلْتُ النُّعْمَانَ كَذَا وَكَذَا شَيْئًا سَمَّاهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَكُلَّ وَلَدِكَ نَحَلْتَ مِثْلَ الَّذِي نَحَلْتَ النُّعْمَانَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأَشْهِدْ غَيْرِي ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ يَسُرُّكَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا إِلَيْكَ فِي الْبِرِّ سَوَاءً قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ فَلَا إِذًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, from Da'ud, from al-Sha'bi, from al-Nu'man ibn Bashir, who said: My father, Bashir ibn Sa'd, carried me to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah, bear witness that I have granted al-Nu'man such and such - naming something. He said: Have you granted all your children the like of what you have granted al-Nu'man? He said: No. He said: Then have someone else bear witness besides me. Then he said: Would it not please you that they be equal to you in kindness? He said: Indeed. He said: Then no, do not do this.
