Aswad ibn Amir told us, Isra'il told us, from Jabir, from al-Mughirah ibn Shibl, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in the noon or afternoon prayer and stood up, so we said "Subhan Allah," and he said "Subhan Allah" and gestured with his hand — meaning stand up — so we stood. When he finished his prayer he performed two prostrations, then said, "If one of you remembers before he has fully risen to stand, let him sit; but if he has fully risen to stand, let him not sit."
