Yazid ibn Harun told us, Ibn Awn informed us, from al-Sha'bi, from Urwah ibn al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, from his father, and from Ibn Sirin, raising it to al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: We were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he nudged my back or my shoulder with something he had with him. He said: I followed him, and the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, relieved himself, then came and said, "Do you have water?" I said, "Yes, I have a leather bag of water with me." He washed his face — he was wearing a Syrian cloak with tight sleeves — so he put his hand in and raised the cloak onto his shoulder, and brought his hands out from beneath the cloak, and washed his forearms, and wiped over the turban. He said: and he mentioned the forelock in some way, and he wiped over his leather socks. Then we came forward and caught up with the people during the dawn prayer, with Abd al-Rahman leading them, and they had prayed one rak'ah. I went to inform him, but he forbade me, so we prayed a rak'ah with him and made up the one we had missed.
