حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَخْبَرَنَا مِسْعَرٌ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا قَدْ عَلِمْنَا السَّلَامَ عَلَيْكَ فَكَيْفَ الصَّلَاةُ قَالَ فَعَلَّمَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdah ibn Sulayman told us, Mis'ar informed us from al-Hakam from Abdul Rahman ibn Abi Layla from Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, that a man asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying, "O Messenger of Allah, we already know how to send greetings (salam) upon you, but how do we send blessings (salah) upon you?" He taught him to say, "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim; indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. And bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed the family of Ibrahim; indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious."
