حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ يَعْلَى قَالَ جِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي أُمَيَّةُ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بَايِعْ أَبِي عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَلْ أُبَايِعُهُ عَلَى الْجِهَادِ فَقَدْ انْقَطَعَتْ الْهِجْرَةُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hajjaj ibn Muhammad told us, he said: Layth — meaning Ibn Sa'd — told us, he said: Uqayl ibn Khalid told me, from Ibn Shihab, from Amr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Umayyah, that his father informed him, that Ya'la said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with my father Umayyah on the day of the Conquest, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, take my father's pledge of allegiance for emigration." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Rather I will take his pledge for jihad, for emigration has ended."
