حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَمُّكَ أَبُو طَالِبٍ كَانَ يَحُوطُكَ وَيَنْفَعُكَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ مِنْ النَّارِ وَلَوْلَا أَنَا كَانَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الْأَسْفَلِ مِنْ النَّارِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Abbas reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: 'Whoever is given a share of gentleness has been given a share of goodness. And whoever is deprived of gentleness has been deprived of goodness. Be concerned with night prayer, for it was the practice of the righteous before you and a means of drawing close to your Lord.'
