حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَبْرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُسْلِمَ بْنَ مِشْكَمٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيُّ قَالَ كَانَ النَّاسُ إِذَا نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْزِلًا فَعَسْكَرَ تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْهُ فِي الشِّعَابِ وَالْأَوْدِيَةِ فَقَامَ فِي فَقَالَ إِنَّ تَفَرُّقَكُمْ فِي الشِّعَابِ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكُمْ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ قَالَ فَكَانُوا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِذَا نَزَلُوا انْضَمَّ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ حَتَّى إِنَّكَ لَتَقُولُ لَوْ بَسَطْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ كِسَاءً لَعَمَّهُمْ أَوْ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ali ibn Bahr told us, he said al-Walid ibn Muslim told us, Abdullah - meaning Ibn Zabr - told us that he heard Muslim ibn Mishkam say: Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani told us, he said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would halt at a camping place and make camp, the people would scatter from him into the mountain passes and valleys. So he stood among them and said: Your scattering into the mountain passes is only from Satan. He said: After that, whenever they made camp, they would draw close to one another, so that you would say, if a cloak were spread over them it would cover them all, or something like that.
