Muhammad ibn Abi Adi told us, from Dawud, from Makhul, from Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Indeed the most beloved of you to me and the closest of you to me in the Hereafter are those of you best in character, and the most hateful of you to me and the furthest of you from me in the Hereafter are those of you worst in character: the excessive talkers, the pretentiously verbose, and those who twist their mouths [showing off in speech].
