حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَابِرٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي بُسْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّوَّاسَ بْنَ سَمْعَانَ الْكِلَابِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ قَلْبٍ إِلَّا وَهُوَ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ إِنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُقِيمَهُ أَقَامَهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُزِيغَهُ أَزَاغَهُ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَى دِينِكَ وَالْمِيزَانُ بِيَدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَخْفِضُهُ وَيَرْفَعُهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: I heard - meaning Ibn Jabir - say: Busr ibn Ubaydullah al-Hadrami narrated to me, that he heard Abu Idris al-Khawlani say: I heard al-Nawwas ibn Sam'an al-Kilabi say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'There is no heart except that it is between two of the fingers of the Fingers of the Lord of the Worlds; if He wills to keep it upright, He keeps it upright, and if He wills to make it deviate, He makes it deviate.' And he used to say: 'O Turner of hearts, make our hearts firm upon Your religion.' And the Scale is in the Hand of the Merciful, Mighty and Sublime; He lowers it and He raises it.
