حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُرَّةَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَ زِيَادٍ جَالِسَا فَأُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ شَهِدَ فَغَيَّرَ شَهَادَتَهُ فَقَالَ لَأَقْطَعَنَّ لِسَانَكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَعْلَى أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا تُمَثِّلُوا بِعِبَادِي قَالَ فَتَرَكَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah ibn Muhammad told us - Abdullah said: and I myself heard it from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah - Muhammad ibn Fudayl told us, from Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Abdullah ibn Hafs, from Ya'la ibn Murrah, that he was sitting with Ziyad when a man was brought who had given testimony and then changed his testimony. Ziyad said, 'I will surely cut out your tongue.' Ya'la said to him, 'Shall I not tell you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him? I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Allah, Mighty and Sublime, said: Do not mutilate My servants.' He said: So he left him alone.
