Yahya ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn Lahi'ah informed us, from a shaykh of Ma'afir, who said: I heard Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: When a man performs ablution and goes to the mosque, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, writes for him ten good deeds for every step he takes; and when he prays in the mosque and then sits there, he is like one fasting and devoted in worship until he returns.
