حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَوْسَ بْنَ ضَمْعَجٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَأَقْدَمُهُمْ قِرَاءَةً فَإِنْ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَتُهُمْ سَوَاءً فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَقْدَمُهُمْ هِجْرَةً فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْهِجْرَةِ سَوَاءً فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَكْبَرُهُمْ سِنًّا وَلَا يُؤَمَّنَّ الرَّجُلُ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَلَا فِي سُلْطَانِهِ وَلَا يُجْلَسُ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُ أَوْ بِإِذْنِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us from Isma'il ibn Raja', who said: I heard Aws ibn Dam'aj say: I heard Abu Mas'ud say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to us: The one who leads the people in prayer should be the one most versed in reciting the Book of Allah, Most High, and the earliest of them in learning to recite; and if they are equal in recitation, then let the one who emigrated earliest lead them; and if they are equal in emigration, then let the eldest of them in age lead them. And no man should lead another in prayer within his authority, nor sit in his place of honor in his house, except with his permission or by his leave.
