حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ قَيْسَ بْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فُلَانًا يُطِيلُ بِنَا الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَتَأَخَّرُ فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَضَبًا مَا رَأَيْتُهُ غَضِبَ فِي مَوْعِظَةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ فِيكُمْ مُنَفِّرِينَ فَمَنْ أَمَّ قَوْمًا فَلْيُخَفِّفْ بِهِمْ الصَّلَاةَ فَإِنَّ وَرَاءَهُ الْكَبِيرَ وَالْمَرِيضَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Isma'il, that he heard Qays ibn Abi Hazim narrate from Abu Mas'ud, that a man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so makes the prayer too long for us, so much so that I hold back." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, became angry with an anger the like of which I had never seen him show in an exhortation. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Indeed, some of you cause aversion. So whoever leads people in prayer, let him make the prayer light, for behind him are the elderly, the sick, and those with pressing needs."
